Hi, my name is Rosie!
I offer a variety of creative workshops for hotels, businesses, and community centers. As a teacher I have two goals: to curate a calming experience that shifts the mind away from perfection, and to help others create a bespoke piece of art that feels both meaningful and personal.
I grew up watching my dad, a fine-art oil painter, create masterpieces. He'd spend upwards of five years on each painting, perfecting it, getting the colors exactly right, the perspective accurate, the shadows of the clouds shaded just so. I thought this was the only way to make art: through painstaking hours spent in a studio. But as I got older, my dad corrected this mindset: "Are you enjoying yourself?" he'd ask me, when I'd call him frustrated over my own work. This constant reminder from him—to focus on the enjoyment of it, to let my mind wander and my nervous system relax—changed my outlook on art making. Now, I hope to inspire others to do the same.
